MEDICAL ADVISOR (Pharma) - 33-3286 (Contract)

JOB DESCRIPTION:   HHAI is actively recruiting for an experienced Medical Advisor. Our client is top-tier global pharmaceutical company.

 

This person will:

  • manage medical affairs and clinical research activities for the company's current and pipeline products.
  • provide interventional and non-interventional studies and guidance on pre-NOC access programs
  • Develop medical strategies to support brand commercialization activities by working closely with the global Medical Affairs and brand teams, Global Patient Outcomes/Real World Evidence, clinical management and other cross-functional management during the development of the local business plan.
  • Contribute as a scientific and clinical expert to activities and deliverables by giving clinical input and insight to develop payer partnership programs and defend the product value.
  • Review and approve local informed consent documents and risk profiles to ensure appropriate communication of risk to study subjects.
  • Collaborate with clinical research staff in the design, conduct and reporting of local clinical trials

This is a hybrid role working from home with the requirement to work out of the Toronto Head Office 4-12 days per month as determined by the manager and business needs.

While not guaranteed, there is potential for this position to become permanent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
:

Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Medical Advisor/Affairs role, AND

  • Solid experience developing medical strategy and supporting business activities for both pre and post launch medications
  • Experience and solid working knowledge of the gastroenterology therapeutic area preferred
  • Advanced degree in health sciences (PhD, PharmD) with 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience in gastroenterology preferred or MSc in health care/professional designation (BScN, PT, RD etc.) considered if 5 or more years of relevant clinical and/or MSL experience in immunology
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Candidates living within the Greater Toronto Area are preferred. Candidates outside of the GTA may be considered but must be able to attend regular monthly meetings (4-12 days per month) with colleagues in the Toronto head office.
